My Brown Ballerina Music Box was designed with an incredible passion for classical music.  As a child pianist, creator Tracy Lightner practiced and developed her music skills with three dedicated music instructors.  She was the closing act for music recitals in her home town and was the pianist at her junior high school and church’s youth choir at the tender age of eleven.  Tracy served as pianist throughout high school and even played at special events while employed at The University of Texas at Arlington.  Her love for this genre would evolve as she composed “Soulful Classical” music of her own.  Her new music box features her single “Peach Blossoms At Dusk,”  released in 2022.  She dedicated many months to creating a music box that she could be proud of.  There were no brown ballerina dolls available for use as she sought to create her vision.  Manufactures in the US and China had none on hand, so Tracy designed, and manufactured her own.  She scored her music to develop the box mechanism  and even manufactured and tailored the steel logo label which will be placed inside.  This is an opportunity to enjoy a music box created by a brown girl, for brown girls. Â
